Welcome to `Different Directions`. This is the family tree of the  Deutschendorf/Swope/Koop/Berry families. It has at least one well known  celebrity member, namely John Henry Deutschendorf Jr aka John Denver. There also appears to be a link to another famous name, or maybe I should say  notorious, as one of the Berry ancestors, James Hamilton Berry claimed a  relationship to Jesse James, the outlaw. I haven`t yet been able to establish  what this relationship is but I am working on it.
  
 People familiar with John Denver`s work will recognise the origin of the name  of the family tree as the name of one of John`s albums. I felt it was  particularly appropriate as the different branches of the family come from very  different areas and backgrounds, half being of Russian/German decent and the  other half more typical American pioneers although originally from Europe.

I have really enjoyed researching this family tree and hope to continue to do  so.
